The Reverend Bishop Allen Bernard Coleman, D.Min.was born on August 20, 1962 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Mildred Carter Coleman and Oscar Coleman, Jr. The youngest child of nine children, the task of raising a widowed family was graciously and courageously accepted as the former Bessie Mae Ward became Mrs. Oscar Coleman, Sr. in March of 1973.

Bishop Coleman was a product of the local schools of Jacksonville, Florida, including Andrew Jackson Senior High School. He is a graduate of the Living Word Bible Training Center, a satellite of Rhema Bible Training Center of Tulsa, OK. Bishop holds a BA and Master of Religious Arts Degrees from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary; and he completed his post-graduate studies at the prestigious Friends International Christian University of Los Angeles, California, where he now serves as an Adjunct Professor.

In 1999, Bishop Coleman was consecrated and appointed as the Presiding Prelate and General Overseer of the Voice of Joy Ministries, International network of churches, the International Fellowship of Covenant Churches & Ministries. To date, the "Network" has continued to grow and has representation in the United States, Africa, Asia and Europe.

As a "cutting edge" speaker, the unique, yet straightforward approach of the Bishop has made him a favored guest at churches, conferences, and convocations worldwide. With anointed precision, Bishop has taken this approach to the printed page as well. As the author of several manuals and training journals, Bishop Coleman has captured the hearts of many through the depth of his scholarly intellect tempered by an overpowering father's heart. The result is a message deep enough to feed, but simple enough to understand.

His most recent release, Kept By The Power, has transcended global barriers and has been accepted as curriculum of two major Christian Universities.

Bishop Allen B. Coleman is a true "Leader of Leaders" and is a dedicated Spiritual Father to many devoted sons and daughters.

Bishop Mother Angela Coleman (Bishop Mother) holds a Bachelors Degree in Christian Education and a Masters Degree in Psychology. She is also a Charter Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors with her husband Bishop Allen Coleman. She serves as the Administrator and Ministerial Coordinator of the Church, and pastors alongside her husband in every sense of the word, known reverently as "his best intecessor."

The Colemans are the Founders and Pastors of Voice of Joy Ministries, International, International- a fellowship majoring in the unique wholistic concept of ministry they coined "Total Man Ministry." The demand for the Ministry has resulted in the Colemans answering the call both nationally and internationally. They have been commissioned to sow seeds of God's Glory into the land. Through crusades, conferences, seminars, and workshops, the Colemans have been instrumental in restoring God's heritage (HIS PEOPLE) to its original design.
